The Quarry, Soho
The Quarry are an award winning film and TV advert editing company positioned in the heart of Soho. They provide editing services to directors, so the quality of their editing suites and office spaces are critical to their success. The Quarry have been through a sustained period of growth and required additional offices, editing facilities and support areas.
To meet their growth needs, The Quarry expanded into the adjoining building over the first and second floors, thus affording an enlarged reception space, new editing suite, WC and kitchen/dining area. The second floor houses a further editing suite, WC, kitchenette and office space.
Completed in 2007, Curtis Wood Architects designed a scheme that successfully links both buildings together, using a high gloss angled white wall to draw the eye through into the adjoining building and reflect views, colour and light. A bright pink framed slot window creates a visual link to adjoining spaces, while continuous floor finishes and a modern and integrated lighting scheme connect the old and new Quarry areas together.
