Carney Richardson, London

Commissioned in July 2000, Curtis Wood Architects were asked to analyse and make recommendations for the refurbishment and reorganisation of the design studio environment of Carney Richardson’s London offices.

Carney Richardson’s existing studio spaces were inefficient, tired and didn’t yield the quality and type of spaces they now needed to develop and grow the company. They are a creative IT and design company and needed additional meeting rooms, open plan design studios, a professional reception point and greater efficiency, to allow their team to develop fully.

Curtis Wood Architect’s feasibility study proposed a full reorganisation of their two storey building, with linear studio tables and bespoke lighting features over each one, glass enclosed meeting rooms and a well proportioned reception point, positioned within easy reach of the meeting spaces and the design studios alike.
