Curtis Wood Architects are specialists in renovating, extending and remodelling existing buildings. We have extensive experience in private and commercial residential renovations and know how to add value, design beautifully and put a project together responsibly.
Every decision taken must be the appropriate one, balancing cost, quality and time. Whilst we have already undertaken many residential developments for private clients, and bring a great depth of knowledge to every project we undertake, each new project is individual, a ‘one-off’ and we approach every commission in a fresh innovative way.
Through our renovation projects, we always seek to make most benefit of the existing building where it’s efficient to do so, and by retaining and revealing the character of the existing building where appropriate. We are often able to achieve a strong mix of the new and the old.
Our featured renovation, extension and remodelling projects, both in this section and in the archive, show how buildings can be retained, modified and developed to create something new and exciting, without loosing the essence of the original structure. It’s this balancing act between the old and the new that is so often the source of the drama within our renovation work.
