Our experience of grade one and grade two listed buildings goes back over fifteen years.
We work closely with planners, the local authority conservation officers and English Heritage on a regular basis. We are always seeking to achieve the best outcome for our clients and the best outcome for the building.
Working through the complex legal framework associated with listed buildings – which in part is criminal law – requires a good understanding of the building’s period and an ability to negotiate with the powers in place; and over our fifteen years of practice experience, we have developed an expertise in restoring period buildings in a sensitive way, retaining the fabric whenever possible and giving the building a new lease of life for the future.
The projects featured in this section of our portfolio are all very different in nature, from the sensitive restoration to the dramatic and modern intervention. All however exhibit one common trait, an inherent understanding of the building we are working with and a clear insight into getting the best from the building to meet our client’s needs.
